Who Are We?

My wife, Linda, and I were both born and raised in southcentral Alaska. We have raised our 3 children in Chugiak, Alaska. I have been independently guiding hunters since I graduated from Chugiak High School in 1978. Since the 1970's, Blue Mountain Lodge is where I honed my skills as a guide. I earned my registered guide license and purchased the lodge in 1983 from Gene Needels. I have been a licensed Master Guide for over 10 years.

My mother, Eunice, has been with me since I purchased the lodge. She is the camp cook. I brought her down the first year (1983) to get me out of a jam and she has been with me every year since. Mom does such a great job cooking that I think most of my repeat clientele come back for the awesome job she does! Eunice is coming back for the fall season and will turn 79 in August!

I have a tremendous guide staff who help make my life much easier. Many of my guides not only have their assistant guide license but also their registered guide license. They all love to hunt and it shows in their enthusiasm for success. Many of my guides have been with me for over 10 years.
